On the 25th of March 2023, over 65 community members came together to connect with nature for #EarthHourWales. We explored Penllegare Valley woods and waterfall.
Our Green Spaces for Wellbeing Project aims to rebuild community cohesion and support improved mental health and emotional well-being, by encouraging minority ethnic people to reconnect with their community and learn to live a more sustainable, cost-effective, and healthy lifestyle in Wales.
Looking after our mental health and wellbeing is important for everyone, and there are things that each of us can do in our day-to-day lives that can help to support good mental health, including connecting to nature. There are lots of ways in which spending time in nature can be positive for our mental health and wellbeing.
We meet at the BMHS Community Hub at 8:00 a.m. on the last Saturday of each month, with planned visits to different areas of natural heritage as part of the project to promote a healthy lifestyle.
