Our class on the 6th of March 2023 started with a brainstorming session where writers were quizzed about what a writing place might look like. The session came up with lots of interesting responses to the question. Next activity was the exploration of the concept of psychogeography and how it influences writers.
We then went on a one-hour writer’s walk where each participant went to explore his or her surroundings and see what inspiration they could draw from it. At the end of the walk, they had some quiet writing time creating the first draft of the walk inspired pieces.
Some of them were read out on the group and analyzed. The class ended as usual with writers being asked to develop the pieces better for review in the next class.
