General Project Assistant Internship (Paid)
Reporting to:
Project Manager
Hours and Hourly Wage
Part-time hours not to exceed 15 hours per week/210 hours in total over the Internship.
Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Living Wage: £10.50 per hour
Eligibility
1. Currently studying at Swansea University (right to work in the UK)
2. Successful candidates MUST have the time to commit to a minimum of 6 hours a week in person, at the BMHS Hub on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm.
3. This role involves working with data and engaging with children, young people and/or adults at risk and requires an enhanced DBS Check.
Number of positions:
BMHS reserves the right to recruit 2 x Interns for 105 hours each.
Purpose of the Post:
This Internship will provide a mix of opportunities to gain experience in both the practical and administrative aspects of BAME Mental Health Support’s portfolio of service activities.
1. To assist and strengthen BAME Mental Health Support by working with the project staff and volunteers to organise and run service activities, events, and activities.
2. To assist the Project Team and manage the administrative support in tasks related to the application of mental health and well-being services and their respective activities.
3. To be instrumental in the effective planning, coordination, and delivery of one or more projects.
4. To act as the first point of contact within one or more projects, working closely with Project Manager.
